I have to agree -- in spite of my misgivings at the time, it has
worked out pretty well. IIRC, we were on 145.01 and several other
frequencies, IN ADDITION to the "APRS frequency" of 145.79. The only
negative reaction I have seen since the QSY was when a group of 2-meter
SSB enthusiasts found out about the QSY over a year after it happened!
