[aprssig] Qt Tk APRS clients

I have been doing some research on making my own APRS client under LINUX.

Has anyone had experience with Qt or Tk ?

I have with the help of another generous soul, been able to get a map and icons running under Tk and PERL.

My mission is pretty simple, put circles and dots shoing the position of objects.

Should I be using some sort of GUI builder ?

I have been using VB for a while and would like to make the break.
