[aprssig] Great Plains Super Launch - July 31-Aug 3 in Kansas City

The 2008 Great Plains Super Launch will be held in Kansas City from Thursday, July 31, to Sunday, August 3.  Several APRS-equipped balloons will be launched (weather permitting) on Saturday morning from somewhere in the KC metro area.  Exact launch site will be determined by wind forecasts for that morning to avoid landings in populated areas.  If the weather is unfavorable Saturday, the flights will be rescheduled to Sunday morning.

Several other events, including presentations on amateur radio high-altitude ballooning, are scheduled for Thursday afternoon and all day Friday.  Many more details and a full schedule at http://www.superlaunch.org .
