Simply make it "FFF.FFFMHz ..." and that is all there is to it. There are exactly 10 bytes there, and the MHz must be mixed case. "FFF.FF MHz ..." will also work for 10 KHz channels. If a TONE is required then it must be above plus "Tnnn" where nnn is always 3 digits and tenths of Hz are never used. (include a leading zero if needed).

Im at the beach in Deleware, and with my portable APRS, I am reviewing APRS all up and down the seaboard. And making a pain out of myself by sending messages to errors that I see.

I lost my home APRS a few years ago due to a lightening incident, and that plus too many honeydoos prevents me from routine monitoring. But its fun to actually sit on RF and watch what people are doing.

Its amazing how few are using the new FREQ format. Even those with D710's... Of course, the only way they will learn is via word of mouth, so we all need to look at peopl's packets and help them learn the new formats.

There is one station in MASS that is using W1-1,W3-3 near boston! ANd a digi in so.VA running W,W,W3-3 for a total of 5 hops!
