[aprssig] Need Path Mentoring

Hi Robbie,

All the packets I posted, from findu, are from
Wednesday evening and I don't expect to make more for
a few more days. I'll have to make some more and look
again. Low power, add an attenuator and drive around
!! Sounds time consuming...hell, I'm retired aren't I
??

If I can get some correlation to the PMON display
and the audible squwak (I assume the display appears
"immediately" after the squwak) , perhaps I can at
least get a relative distance/strength - also use the
handheald... and learn what it sounds like. I did
hear one packet which sounded very under deviated that
day.

Though I do carry a beam & attenuator in the trunk
(;-)
My Doppler isn't completed and I have one I was
fixing, but it still doesn't work properly - I think
an antenna problem.
I don't think the FM Dopplers handle a Beacon well,
but haven't actually made observations.
I won't go into details why it works, but there's a
fella around here who modified his Doppler to work on
FM or AM. Perhaps I can contact him...

Thanks for the confirmation. Maybe I'll get it yet,
Steve
