Be aware that Verizon has, in the, capped "Unlimited" data at 5 
gigabytes per month. After you reach 5g, your speed is significantly 
reduced (to less than dial up speed).

For some uses, you may reach this cap.

Most carriers advertise "unlimited" but there are limits of some type 
imposed. Buyer beware. Especailly, as you say, if you roam to another 
network with your device.
