Hi Andrew

I built an antenna mount to clamp to the wing strut of a Cessna 172. You can see it at http://sarl.ca/ve5aa/CASARA/Casara.htm. It's partially blocked by the airplane body and doesn't have much of a ground plane but it was still received by our digi over 100 km away.

Need some suggestion for aerial mount.

Aerial will come down for a bit and then bend back - parrallel to belly.

    Gudday

We are in the process of fitting out a plane with APRS.

    It will have a

    GARMIN GPS 196
    MAXON Data radio (5W)
    TinyTrak3
    RG58
    N-TYPE panel mount
Home brew 1/4 wave bent over whip.

Callsign will most likely be VK4HDA-9
