For the APRSSIG:

I was reminded today that there is an APRS Digipeater
Owners email group.  SO if you own and operate a
digipeater, you might want to subbscribe.   It is very
low dutycyle, maybe one message a month.

Somehow we have got to get some of those older
digipeaters to modify their parameters to the New-N
paradigm in the USA...  We each need to look at
our local area and encourage participation in
getting the digis current.  Here is what all digis
that are New-N compliant should show:

1) SHould have an "S" overlay
2) Should have PHG data
3) Should have "W#,SSn" showing  the recommended # of hops
    and the SSn network supported
4) Should insert their call in all packets they digipeat

Those are the VISIBLE aspects of the New-N paradigm
but many more subtle parameters are invvoved and 
we have to TRUST that someeone that makes the above
four visible changes also makes the MORE IMPORTANT
operating changes to make the digi so much more
efficient as shown on the page:
