I think it has to do with whether or not you count the original emission
of the packet. It certainly doesn't count as a digipeat and I think
those are what most of us have been counting. If you count packets, it's
one more than digipeats or "hops".

Doesn't this one go
W1-1
W2-2
W2-1
W2*

I'd count that as 4 not three but then again I guess it's all in how you
look at it...err is it?
Or maybe I just made a mistake somewhere?
