Matt KC8BEW didn't say exactly which model he had other than it being a USB
connected GPS ad that it does not have the PS2 connector. I looked around at
www.holux.com.tw and couldn't determine which model he has. If it is USB
connected it would only be usable when connected directly to a computer that
had a USB port. However, all of the ones I looked at on the Holux site
seemed to indicate that it puts out 4800 bps NMEA. However, the actual
interface is the big question. If it is USB only, he could only use it
connected to a computer that had a USB port. If it is one of the models that
Holux provides adapter to go to between the GPS receiver and the USB port,
he might be OK. If it is USB only, it couldn't be connected to a tracker or
TNC. I think we need more information about the exact model. However...
their GM-210, GR-211, GR-212 and GR-213 GPS receivers ALL indicated that
they had an 4800 bps RS232 interface. At least one of the above (GM-210)
looked like they had adapter cables to go to either USB or RS232. Some of
the pictures looked like they had what looked like a PS2 connector on the
able. Some just didn't show the end of the cable.

Matt - can you tell us a bit more about the GPS?
