It's not, all you need is something added to the APRS protocol to distribute 
the polygon data (area objects may do it?).

UI-Path32 already creates a plot of stations heard direct see the following 
http://www.apritch.myby.co.uk/uipath32.jpg it just does not distribute the 
analysis data.

Note: It's not a circle...
