Xastir has a similar feature but it doesn't do datum translations
(yet).  It's useful when you've got Xastir in UTM to support the
field teams and get numbers from a helo in another format.  You can
bring up the coordinate calculator alone or you can use it via the
"Calc" button when creating an object or item.

I've used this a _lot_ during SAR missions.  I'd venture to say that
I nearly couldn't get along without it anymore.  The alternative
(and what I used before it was coded) is to change input formats on
a GPS, insert a waypoint at those coordinates, then change formats
on the GPS again and write down the numbers.  Very slow.
