Ah, Bob, they flew a balloon on Saturday and it DIDN'T work.  The digis 
in his area don't do WIDEn-n, they do RELAY and WIDE only.

Given the conditions in his area, I think alternating WIDE and WIDE2-2 
is a reasonable solution.

Blanket statements are always wrong.  (:
