Hi there
We just did some modifications on an FT-736R today with a view to
putting it in place as a UHF 9K6 Downlink station.
Its located here http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/find.cgi?call=EI3RCW-4.
If anyone has any experience of using one of these with a Symek TNC2H,
please don't hesitate to offer any advice as none of us have any
satellite experience.
You mentioned somewhere before about using a TM-D700 to receive PCSAT
and to transmit on a local APRS frequency, I've gone and re-read the
astars page and have configured my RIG to RX on 145.825 and tx on
144.800, I'm not sure what I should have the TNC respond to/digi path
wise though.
The nearest Igate would be EI2WRC-3
I'm also working on getting the soundcard on a server I have at home
working (driver fun) as a soundmodem, as the machine is up and running
24/7 I could have it listening somewhere and igating packets.
Comments/Suggestions?
Regards
de John
