[aprssig] Fine Tuned New n-N Paradigm Filters

Someday, maybe digi owners will figure out the real way to fix the mess
on 144.39 is to get rid of source routing completely. All the "New n-N
Paradgim" has done is complicate digi configurations, confuse travelers
and digipeater operators, and cause new sources of duplicate packets
(NOID off on state/section routes) while only temporarily reducing QRM
in some places. And this QRM reduction is many times at the cost of
lost APRS stations.

I believe Digi_Ned can support the no-source-routing algorithm outlined
in the winter edition of the TAPR PSR newsletter. I hope that the
author of UIDigi is also looking at it. javAPRSDigi supports it.

Until we hams quit trying to do what Novell (IPX) and Microsoft
(NetBIOS) failed to do (make a link protocol a networking protocol), we
will continue to chase our tails trying to reduce QRM caused by
unnecessary duplicate digipeating. We have used systems without source
routing for years predating AX.25 (repeaters and linked repeaters ring a
bell?). I think we can figure out that maybe, just maybe, the folks
that put together the ISO protocol pyramid might have known a thing or
two about networking. Heck, even the original AX.25 documents call the
AX.25 a link level protocol.

I am now off my soapbox...
