I just became aware that findU bogged down.

Last night I started a rebuild on a large table (the 15 GB of weather data from
2004) and it looked like the system was handling it well, so I stopped worrying
about it. This morning the data rebuild was completed and re-indexing begun,
which produced a much higher i/o load on the machine, bogging everything down,
essentially preventing new data from getting added to the database. Since the
indexing in halfway done, I'm going to let it run, in the meantime I shut off
http access, which should help the system finish sooner.

Sorry for the inconvenience. www2.findU.com is an alternate, though the new
cgi's have not been placed on the backup server.
