[aprssig] Quake info via APRS

I havent been back into APRS but just a few months, but just noticed on the map this morning an actual earthquake icon, just over the state line into Arkansas (I'm in TN). Could those be sent out via RF like weather through my Igate? I had not seen it discussed before. Just curious.
