I might suggest the ARRL repeater guide on CD as a good choice for 
something like this. You can put in a route on the map, and it will show 
you repeaters in range. I do not think they list APRS digis but that's not 
what you want.. ?? You mean V or UHF repeaters?

You can also feed the program on a laptop GPS data, and it will show where 
you are and suggest within-range repeaters.

It's not perfect, but is a pretty good tool.

If you want a digi map most of the clients can generate a what digis are 
where map readily. Turn on a client with the APRS - IS (Internet), let it 
run 24 hours, then plot digipeaters.
