I would be grateful if you wouldn't do this. Apart from the fact that
he didn't subscribe to open source coding, the main reason Roger had
me destroy the source codes was to ensure that Dee and the remainder
of the family were not put under undue pressure after his death.

It would be wrong intrude on Dee's privacy at this time and you would
just be re-inventing the wheel. There are already several cracks in
existence. Shortly before Roger's death I received the following in
an e-mail from a KB7:-

"Now as I kept reading on the message board that "you did not have a
solution" I just snickered at the fact that I can sit back and make
reg codes all day long with almost no effort. As far as the
validation codes that's a little more complicated and I am trying to
simplify this now."

Roger and Dee released the registration keygen into my keeping on the
understanding that new registrants should be requested to make a
voluntary donation to cancer research and this is how it is being
done.

In order to provide timely response to registration requests a small
group of volunteers is now providing the service. There are two
registrars in the US, two in EU and two in Oceania. The instructions
on the registration site are quite clear. Unfortunately, in their
eagerness (or impatience) to get their registration code, many
stations are duplicating their request to several registrars thus
increasing an already heavy workload. A bit like WIDE7-7.

Although due to age, and frequent absences from home, I am, at my own
request, no longer on the list of registrars I still have a
responsibility to Dee and the family to see that registration is
carried out in accordance with their wishes.

It is my intention to ensure that this is done.

The buck stops here!
