Very nice set of options. <br>
I tried changing the cycle count to 400, but the gain correction
didn't change to follow that. I can use the raw data and apply the
correct gain value, however the processed values are only accurate
at the default cycle count of 200.<br>

Only other features I can think of at this point are: <br>
(1) perhaps limiting cycle count choices to 200, 300, 400 with
appropriate gain correction for each<br>
(2) displaying 2 decimal points of resolution on the processed
values which provides 10's of nanoTeslas resolution ... more or
less on the order of the hoped for resolution of this magnetometer<br>
(3) setting the NOS register for 'on board' averaging<br>

Dave,
After correcting a minor issue in the function 'read temp' in main.c
where you inadvertently left out the comment // before the word 'works',
it compiled nicely and runs fine.
I note that the gain corrected readout is in integer microteslas. When I
patched your original code to include gain, I also used microteslas with
3 decimal places to the right; with a cycle count of 200 (gain 75) it's
actually closer to 2 decimal places (+/- 10nT) but the three places is
handy for noise level evaluation for higher cycle counts and averaging.
Could, of course, work directly with the raw values but I find it easier
to think of the noise / resolution issue in terms of nanoTeslas directly.
Your gain corrected values match the expected field levels in my
location from geomag models and are identical to the readings I obtained
with my patches to your original test code.

Notes from PSWS / TangerineSDR call of 05-18-2020
1. Elizabeth mentioned that University of Houston is looking at
TangerineSDR for their balloon experiment ground station, rather than the
balloon itself. This is due to size and weight limitations.
2. Discussion on I2C addressing for the magnetometer, both hardware and
software. Different single board computers use different bus interfaces to
talk to the external I2C pins. Changing the I2C bus speed (away from
default) to 100 kb/s currently looks like it may need editing the device
tree (differently) for each SBC type.
3. Scotty asked if the HF receiver could be extended to VLF frequencies
without degrading the HF performance. The VLF requirements (NF,
sensitivity, dynamic range, frequency range, etc.) are not known. At this
point it seems best to first characterize the performance of the receiver
we have designed at not only HF but also VLF, then see if the VLF
performance is adequate. If not then either design modifications (if
possible while maintaining the HF specs) or a different receiver could be
done.
