[TangerineSDR] Magnetometer Prototype Testing Plan

Hi all,

  What kind of environmental considerations are we after for a Round 2
evaluation (which I'm still up for)? I've seen a couple professional
magnetometer installations and know the extreme care that goes into them,
so I'm wondering at this level whether there are particular things to avoid
at the "crude" level when figuring out siting spots. Perhaps Hyomin or
someone else here can elaborate.

  Also, do we have worries about these being in the near field of 100 W (or
bigger!) class transmitters? Not of course with the magnetometer itself,
but with the electronics and network.

  There is the possibility of hosting more than one here. There is my QTH
(suburban; grid FN42dk), the QTH of my father in Schenectady, NY (suburban;
grid FN32bt; already runs a Dartmouth AM Doppler receiver so there is a
well vetted, reliable home network which I run remotely) and one up at
Haystack. I'll have to discuss the Haystack one with our geospace sciences
group, and the same siting questions apply, but I don't see a large
problem. So you could bump my number to "3" in the spreadsheet without
increasing my priority.
