suggested one that he says others use without a problem. But
when I telnet to that port manually, I get a connection, but
no response (no SID, no user prompt, nothing). When I try
from JNOS, of course, nothing happens. When I telnet to the
other port, which the BPQ sysadmin says is obsolete and not
used, I get the proper user and password prompts, followed by
the SID. But attempting to forward from JNOS to BPQ using
that port results in errors (whether I use noiac or not).
Perhaps BPQ doesn’t allow forwarding on that port? I’ll try
to get more info from the sysop. But if anyone here knows
more about BPQ forwarding over telnet, can you provide
details?

the BPQ Ports situation is a little tricky, but it's easy once you
enter
into the mind of the author :)

TCPPORT=8010
FBBPORT=8011 8012

Now, the TCPPORT is the one which accept *ONLY* the true
telnet connections.

The FBBPORT(s) were created *ONLY* and dedicated for the old
version of 'WinFBB-1.0.35 alpha' *connects*... I'm my doubts that
IT could be connected by the actual xdfbb-7.0.x FBB versions and
the JNOS2+ too.

Bob will you try FBB type forwarding tests, PSE?

The following is what you may expect by dong a console telnet
command.
