I can only assume you are trying to connect via IP and not RF. What
I use for a test connection is this:

attach axip visbbs 256 44.2.10.6 W6RAY-11
-----------------------------
visbbs is the connection name
44.2.10.6 is the AMPRnet ip address
W6RAY-11 is the call for that particular system, JNOS 2.0j.4

It isn't axudp, but it does work.

The entire entry is this:

# Visalia LOCAL TEST
attach axip visbbs 256 44.2.10.6 W6RAY-11
ifc visbbs ax25 bctext "W6RAY-11 : Visalia Local FWD Test"
mbox hideport visbbs off
mbox mport visbbs on
ip hport visbbs on

Here is the ifconfig display for that node:

Jnos> ifc visbbs
visbbs IP addr 44.2.10.2 MTU 256 Link encap AX25
Link addr W6RAY-11 BBS W6RAY-4 Paclen 256 Irtt 2500
BCText: W6RAY-11 : Visalia Local FWD Test
AXIP dest 44.2.10.6
flags 0xcb2 trace 0x0 netmask 0x00000000 broadcast 0.0.0.0
sent: ip 0 tot 136 idle 0:00:20:39
recv: ip 0 tot 3 idle 0:19:21:10
descr: (AX25) VISBBS:W6RAY-11 Visalia, CA LOCAL Test
BBS (44.2.10.6)
Jnos>

The only difference may be that I am using RF to forward the mail
which uses a different routing command.

I use:

route add default tun0

This may not help, but it may give you something to try. I have to
get ready for work...
Perhaps others will have better information for you.
