<DIV>I use h-addresses right from Outlook Express that when sent to JNOS act
like the message was composed in the JNOS computer. I also use <A
href="mailto:callsign@n0mr.ampr.org">callsign@n0mr.ampr.org</A> that also acts
like messages generated in the JNOS computer. No changes are needed in the
rewrite file. I don’t have training in computer and mail handling so I must
learn as I go but this has worked fine for me.</DIV>

<DIV>The only problem I’ve encountered is with Windows 7 and the Windows Live
Mail program not recognizing the #nemn local designator part of the h-address
and I have to omit that part of the address. For our local mail this is not a
problem and when I need that designator I enter the message directly on the JNOS
machine or by telnet to the JNOS machine. I could use the rewrite function to
add that local designator to the address.</DIV>

<DIV>I use a mail program like Outlook Express and use POP and SMTP to get and
send mail to JNOS. Linux JNOS runs down the basement and my mail program
upstairs in my shack. I have a JNOS mail account in Outlook Express that
points to my JNOS machine along with my e-mail and Winlink mail. I get and
send mail over the home network. Replies and forwards look just like
e-mails.</DIV>

becomes “RE: <original-subject>” and I can type my reply, but the
original message is not included. I’ve seen replies from others which
include the original text marked with “>”. Is there a way to do
