Here is the clincher: "c k8rra" is OK only when NET/ROM has GHWEST:K8RRA in the active table. Otherwise the command is a bust. And NET/ROM feature is the crux of my observation - the command syntax is not the same for both the BBS and the SYSOP..

My interest is to explain to users that the approach to the function connect (not "connect" the command) is different from the two screens.<BR>
