doing ftp and telnet, but i stopped using it for a year, and now i return and
whenever I try to send or recieve a large data segment the data flow "Locks up".
jnos doesnt lock, i can still open new sessions, and i can say, ping <A
href="ftp://ftp.cdrom.com">ftp.cdrom.com</A>. but if i do a ping <A
href="ftp://ftp.cdrom.com">ftp.cdrom.com</A> 1000 then it will
hang.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> I sort, of resolved it by setting a very low
segment size and window, mss 250 window 250. that works but is painfully slow. i
always used to use mss 1500 and window 3000.</FONT></DIV>

i used it is the fact that the cable modem network has grown to the point that
about 100 packets per second of broadcast ARP traffic is taking place on the
network.</FONT></DIV>

past and it had something to do with the buffers in the attach statement. here
