[nos-bbs] JNOS<-->BPQ

Clifford,
I have reliable AXUDP and telnet links between my JNOS systems and two BPQ systems. But I don't have netrom turned on for the links to the BPQ systems, so I can't say much about that. Others here operate both JNOS and BPQ.
A couple of general suggestions:
1) You mention both AXIP and AXUDP but the config looks like AXUDP. You might want to be clear with your forwarding partner about which one you want to use so he can configure the right one.
2) If your system is behind a NAT/firewall, the firewall may change the source port, depending on if there is more than one host trying to use that same source port (since that's how NATs perform multiplexing). And some better firewalls always change the source port in order to frustrate hackers.
So the JNOS config can use a -1 in place of the "UDP source" field (the first "10093" in your example config below), which tells JNOS not to care about the source port. (Most UDP applications don't require a specific source port, so I don't know why that field is there anyway.)
Other than that, I suspect you'll need to ask a more specific question.
Michael
