Hello xNOS packeteers,

Bellow you can find a Call for tutorials that I received a couple of
days ago. I plan to respond with an amateur radio proposal. Should some
of you may find it as an interesting venue for presenting your own
JNOS/TNOS/... sysoping & other amateur radio activity (or if you know
some other ham who might be interested in taking participation), let me
know on time so I could compose a combined proposal accordingly.

Please note that potential presenters should propose the topic from the
list on the conference website. For example, I would try to cover the
following areas:

Track 1: Advanced Computing:
- Systems and Software Engineering (for example how to construct a ham
data mode station at home or work, and how to implement the software),
- Security, Trust and Privacy (means how to fight against ham radio
'pirates', ham packet email authorization, ...)

Track 2: Communications:
- Communications Software (describing ham radio programs for DOS,
Window$ and Linux),
- Satellite and Space Communications (of course OSCARs, Pacsat)
- Wireless Communication (adding options such as WiFi, Hamnet ...)
- Network Simulation and Emulation (for example, simulating real packet
radio network within a wired LAN in a school computer lab, or something
similar)

Track 3: Informatics:
- Community Information Systems (ham packet network in rural and remote
communities & developing countries),
- Open Source: Challenges and opportunities (Linux as a free & open
world for ham radio experimenters ...)

Feel free to comment and provide your ideas on this ...

Regards, 73
