[nos-bbs] mailbox naming restrictions

I'm working on a project to validate JNOS addresses.  So I need to know what
restrictions exists for a mailbox name?  Specifically:

 

-- Is there a minimum number of characters?

-- Is there a maximum number of characters?  (I know the answer is not 6; no
guessing please)

-- What characters are allowed (or not allowed, whichever is easier to
answer)?
