There's nice web interfaces for convers as well, almost any web-telnet
client will do. I even think sp2lob rewrote the dxspider webclient for
convers if I'm not mistaken.
Convers can also allow those on RF to join in while keeping non-licensed
folks out or to a bare minimum. SAUPP allows for such external clients
as mIRC, iirc, etc to link in.
