Jose,

You have to investigate to what zone you assigned the tun0 interface.
I don't know Firestarter as I use Shorewall here.

Shorewall is extremely easy and flexible to configure in a couple of 
text files and you don't need to know
iptables at all.

Some of these Graphic Firewalls lack the flexibility if you want to do 
something special.
(and you have to add it manually in that case)
