     I had similar problems. This finally worked for me:

attach tun    tun0 1500 0
ifconfig tun0    ipaddress 208.127.104.172
ifconfig tun0    netmask 255.255.255.0
ifconfig tun0    mtu 1500
pause 1
shell ifconfig tun0 208.127.104.173 pointopoint 208.127.104.172 mtu 1500 up
shell arp -s 208.127.104.172 00:0c:76:98:48:87 pub
shell arp -s 44.16.3.24 00:0c:76:98:48:87 pub
shell route add 44.16.3.24 tun0
