Technically this means the UNIX/LINUX access() function has failed
on the particular lock file, ie : /jnos/spool/mqueue/whatever.lck

The next time this happens, can you send me a copy of the *.wrk file
related to that particular lock ? The path of the *.lck file gets
derived from a line in the *.wrk file. Possibly there is an issue
with the contents of the line used to create the *.lck filepath,
don't know at this stage, but that seems to leap out at me.

Have you tried bumping up (or removing) the tdisc parameter ? Just
curious if that prevents the situation from happening, that's all.

Is this any mail, or a particular user @ destination ?
