I found the problem. It's been like that for a long time
by the looks of it. In the 'iface' code you can technically
make your port name as large as you want, unfortunately in
the 'ax25' portion of the code, the iface name is hardcoded
to a limit of ILEN (which no doubt comes out to 6), so trying
to copy more characters into a space that only allows for so
much, is bound to create some strange behaviour. Hope that
makes sense.

I'll fix it when I have a minute.
