[nos-bbs] A shared library question

Good afternoon...

As part of packaging JNOS2.0f on a Debian Etch platform, I received a 
message:
          "...shared libraries...  "libtinfo.so.5" is missing -- no such 
file."
Also, "find" confirms that libtinfo is missing from the system.

On Fedora platform where it was compiled, "ncurses-libs-5.6..." supplies 
the module.
Admittedly, this note is abbreviated, but I can't find libtinfo in the 
Debian repository.
I've now installed every ncurses library available.
Actually, 16 out of 21 libraries -- just not the 64bit & perl specials.
On Debian platform what library am I missing?
Is this another gcc revision level detail?

How do I make sense out of this packaging difference?
