Well -- I have only FAQs:

Does the console command "http status" respond with maybe 8 lines of text?
Yes: the server is probably active (depending on what it says).
  no: the server failed

Do you have a valid http page in .../www/root.html?
Yes: there is something to serve.
No: oops / nothing to serve

Are there activity files in wwwlogs & wwwstats directories?
Yes: Sounds like the server is serving
No: perhaps no requests got to the server.

Is the path BACK to the browser working (this may be tricky --
especially to a remote site)?
Yes: OK, look for proof in the I/O trace files for request and
response packets.
No: Now you know what to do.

My http server was real easy to start. The browser connection was a
not-to-tough task on the host machine, and a little more involved on the
LAN, and a real bugger on remote sites over the RF path. So -- it sits
there with nothing to do. All dressed up with nowhere to go...

My opinion is that NAT could be a reasonable solution to routing
jnos:http stuff around.
But that is a story for another time.

Best of luck with http -- let us know what you have in the HTTP library?
