Using /nos as the default root for the TNOS files ...

And after you have run the ./configure script ...

1) BEFORE you run the 'make' command, these 2 dirs MUST exist :

    /nos/etc
    /nos/etc/help

2) BEFORE you run the 'make install' command, these 2 dirs MUST exist :

    /nos/autoexec
    /nos/autoexec/autoconf

I only mention the above to resolve errors I ran into during the build.
