[nos-bbs] SYSOP console - 3-line status banner - BUG

This is a bug note:

Some time ago (months) I noted that the sysop display had the top 3-line
status display clobbered.
Maiko responded the bug was known but of low priority (and not
repeatable?).
In the recent months I have found a way with my jnos2.0d to cause and
cure the clobber.
Therefore it is repeatably duplicated using the following approach.

I have determined that the smtp trace output will clobber the status
line, it may not be the only way.
Thus to cause the clobber, then issue the command:
...> smtp trace 99
then cause some smtp activity that will trace out on the sysop display.

I have determined that turning off smpt trace will cure the clobber and
allow the display to "heal".
Thus to stop the clobber and clean up the display, then issue the
commands:
...> smtp trace 0
...> help motd

I offer this as a bug test and killing aid.
I hope someone else might verify other versions of jnos act in the same
manner.
There is little need to here to request higher priority in killing this
bug.
