I have an older 7.9.0 Darwin OS X at work with an older gcc 2.95.2
version of compiler. I'll give it a shot and see what I can do. So
far it doesn't look bad, a few changes to a few header files, cross
your fingers. I *might* have access to a Darwin 8 system as well,
I'll have to check).
