I've always used the following syntax to trace In/Out on a port :

  trace vhf 0x211 kam98.log

Note, the log file is not immediately updated (flushed) whenever
something comes in or out. It's buffered. To end the trace, use
the line 'trace vhf off'. That should flush any remaining buffer
to the logfile (in this case kam98.log).
