The original openSSH had a no-encryption option.   I found one posting where
somebody with some older systems had recompiled SSH to bring it back since
the encryption was actually slowing down his file transfers.

The last time I looked at the source, I couldn't find the original techniques
to re-enable the no-encryption.   One of these months I hope to communicate
with the openSSH developers and let them know of our need in amateur
radio.
