Subject: [nos-bbs] JNOS 2.0c1 (experimental) - HF forwarding with FBB andAirMail ...
Greetings all,
I'm pleased to release (bleeding edge, experimental) JNOS 2.0c1, a copy
of my development system. The primary purpose of this release if for those
of you that own a HalComm DXP unit or a SCS PTC II Pro (or compatible)
unit. You will now be able to forward FROM your JNOS system TO remote
systems running either FBB or AirMail software.
I've had some very good test results so far, just this evening I was
able to do 4 consequtive connects and forward sessions between myself
and FBB running at WU3V qth, using the SCS PTC II Pro. Able to forward
private messages and bulletins as well
I've been able to forward stuff to AirMail systems as well (ie, VE6HM,
VO1XC, W4DAC, and WU3V). In some cases, AirMail on the remote end suddenly
seems to loose contact with it's own DXP modem, and the HF signals wind up
going back and forth doing nothing, resulting in NO data getting moved.
This seems to be limited (so far) to only one system that I've tried to
forward with, but I'm not 100 percent sure. I'm still trying to figure
this out, but I don't suspect it's on my end (of course I could be wrong).
If anyone has any insite on this, please do help me.
Considering that I can only test this so much, I'm going to release this
to the masses and let you people play with it now.
