Good evening,

I have developed a prototype JNOS client which a user can run from
the JNOS bbs prompt, allowing them to connect (using the HF CLOVER
mode) to a remote station through a HalComm DXP38 HF unit.

For those of you that have a DXP38 and are interested in playing with
it, download the latest (linux only at this time) source distribution
of JNOS 2.0 at this site :

This is just the start, eventually a server side will also be done,
so that CLOVER users can also connect to JNOS, not just FROM it as
a client.

The reason I'm using Clover is because I have a DXP38 in my shack, so
what better way then to build a prototype, especially when I exchange
CLOVER traffic with other stations across Canada and to the south,
on a regular basis.

Support for other modes and units (Pactor I, Pactor II) are on the
list (honestly). I just needed to get some type of prototype working
which once finished will make it much easier to add other devices.
