If we're in the mood to add features, one (of several) found in TNOS is
a simple call sign validater . It doesn't prevent bogus call signs but it
does
get rid of things like NOCALL showing up in the ML listing.

It *is* possible to write some NOS code which has some rudimentary
spam filtering in it so that:
1) The rewrite file can do double duty for "MAIL FROM:" as well as
"RCPT TO:" on the envelope,
2) The "Content-Type: " and "Content-Transfer-Encoding: " header
lines can be used to accept only specific kinds of "content" (such
as plaintext), and,
3) An external file containing parts of subject line strings can be
used to filter on the basis of "Subject: " header line content.

Given that mirrorshades doesn't have any application services on it
(except for netstat), that is impossible. It is strictly an IP router.
