alternately beaconing on conventional 300-baud AX.25 packet. <br>
1) VARA has proven itself to be so overwhelmingly superior
to classic HF packet that I am not bothering with 300-baud
AX.25 at all.<br>
2) The uptake of APRS-over-VARA is now extensive enough that
a full-time network of APRS-over-VARA igates now exists
covering all of North America. <br>
