allows you to zoom in for exact centerline. I know I have
to be withing oh, 5-10 miles or so, at worst. Any idea
where to get a map? I’m just hoping for clear skys

I've been totally amazed by the same thing - lack of detailed
info. Nothing from places like NASA, National Solar Observatory,
etc that you would think would have the high-powered graphics to
do this.

Here is the ONE dynamic map I've been able to find!

usual Google Maps detail anywhere in the US.
Subject: [aprssig] Solar Eclipse and Yet Another
APRS HF Road Test Coming!

The next road trip and APRS test opportunity will be on April
8th. I am driving down to north-west Ohio for the total
solar eclipse. I will be parked just off Ohio I-75 near
Celina Ohio, right on the center of the line of totality.
Coords are 40.4964N / 84.1926W.

I will be taking the radio trailer "Studio B" <http://WA8LMF.net/Aliner>
, and will be experimenting with HF propagation changes
during the eclipse. I will be beaconing AX.25 and VARA APRS
on both 30 and 60 meters, and monitoring signal levels on the
AM broadcast band. Possibly some SSTV livecam shots of the
eclipse, if the upper HF bands (15 and 10 meters) are open --
20 meters is just too much of a mess on SSTV.

I intend to arrive on site about 12:00 Noon local (US EST /
UTC -4) for setup. At this location, the eclipse starts at
about 13:54 EST and will be total by 15:09 EST.
