Latest addition is a GLinet "Slate" mini travel router tethered
to my iPhone 6s+. The Toughbook is connected to the router via
Ethernet, allowing both instances of UIview to beacon directly to
APRS-IS as well as RF. Can also act as an ad-hoc igate at ham
fests, etc.

The 32-bit dual-core Intel Centrino Toughbook runs all this stuff
at once in 4 GB RAM without breaking a sweat . It still has 80% of
it's original battery capacity after nearly 10 years - a tribute
to it's excellent battery management system and very aggressive
cooling system. The only problem is the pre-LED vacuum-FL screen
back-lighting is getting steadily dimmer, making it hard to see in
direct daylight. (You can see part of the mobile setup on my web
