<p>YES! UIview has a meteor mode. When linked to the UZ7HO
Soundmodem soundcard soft TNC, it would do exactly what you
want. The Soundmodem connects to APRS clients either via the
AGWpe IP interface, or via KISS-over-IP. <br>

<p>In fact, if you only want to monitor, the Soundmodem has a
built-in receive-only terminal window that displays packets
heard & decoded -- no external client required. <br>

<p> If anyone is interested, I have a complete turnkey UIview
setup, including mapping and the UZ7HO Soundmodem packaged as a
ready-to-run VMware virtual machine. This VM can run on any
platform that supports the freeware VMware player -- i.e. it can
run on Macs and Linux as well as Windows. This is available for
