Pretty sure the windows are tinted with something metallic. I
didn't have much luck on a number of Coast Starlight trips up and
down the west coast. Pretty frustrating at times, as cell coverage
was no better, and needed to update family about the ever present
delays.<br>
<br>
Perhaps try standing in the breeze way between cars for a moment (I
think the coverings are canvas), and see if you can get a beacon
out? If so, it's the windows.<br>
<br>
Otherwise, just sit back and enjoy the trip.<br>
