<p><span id="productTitle" class="a-size-large">These devices come
with a mini-DIN connector on the end of a 6-foot cable that
was intended to mate with one of two accessory cables. One was
just wire terminated in a DB9 serial plug. The other
terminated in a serial<-->USB converter dongle. Just
chop the DIN plug off, strip the wires and splice them to a
cable with the 2.5mm GPS connector plug for t he D700. <br>

<p><span id="productTitle" class="a-size-large">Note you will need
a 5VDC (*not* 12VDC !!!) power source for the GPS. (Additional
contacts in the DIN connector were +5VDC IN &
COMMON.) You might cannibalize an old lighter-socket
cell-phone charger. These are often available at dollar stores
(or hamfests) if you don't have one lying around. Just be
sure it is 5 VDC, not 3.3 VDC or some other odd voltage.</span></p>
